About Us

About Trois Noix Founder Jaime Araujo: she is in black jeans, a black jacket with a red and white Trois Noix patch, and a black and red sweater. She's smiling and standing with her hands in her pockets in front of rocks on Dillon Beach, CA.

Meet Jaime Araujo

Jaime’s family has been making world-class wines in Napa Valley for over 25 years and for most of those years, Jaime was actually living abroad in Europe (if you want to know all the juicy details, make sure to ask her when you meet!)

Upon returning to Napa Valley to become a vintner, Jaime wanted to create a wine that would reflect her personal journey, and what she loved most about wine: the people and the sense of community. The name “Trois Noix,” which means “Three Nuts,” is an homage to our founder’s love of France and her commitment to using wine as a catalyst for social change.

We’re passionate about everything we do.

From grape to bottle to your glass, we do everything with care and respect for people and planet.

We believe that wine should be for all.

Wine is meant to bring us together. We want a more just, equitable, diverse and inclusive industry. Let’s have more people at the table. Let’s build more tables and add more chairs. All the time. Every time.

We appreciate everything real.

Whether we’re dressed to the nines or wearing dirty jeans and boots, what matters most to us is that we’re honest. Transparency is key to us. You get the real us at every turn.

We know what we’re talking about.

Our team holds more than a handful of degrees, wine certifications, and decades of industry experience. Recognizing that there is always more to know, we participate in mentorship programs (on all sides) and continue to learn from the best in the business!

Less is more.

Just as we let nature do as much of the work as possible in the vineyard, we try to let the wine take the lead once it’s in tank and barrel. We like to take a “less is more” approach to winemaking, using native yeasts whenever possible, forgoing foil capsules on top of our bottles, and working with Conscious Container to source refillable glass bottles as a way to reduce carbon emissions & mitigate supply chain challenges.

We believe our job is to guide the wine to its greatest and truest expression. Our hope is that our gentle yet attentive approach allows the wines to have a voice of their own and to express that voice freely and joyfully.

Collaboration is key.

Trois Noix began as a collaboration with amazingly talented friends who happened to be fabulous winemakers and grape growers, with the goal of making fresh and precise wines of time and place. Standing on that foundation today, we are a bridge between “Established Napa” and “Next Napa,” holding onto that sense of place while inviting as many people as we can to revel with us in our shared love of wine.

Taste for yourself.

You can enjoy our wines at  Wheeler Farms in St. Helena or  Feast it Forward in Downtown Napa. Head over to our visits page for more details about these two distinct tasting experiences!
